Amanda Kay Strous was a daughter, sister, fiance, friend, teammate, colleague, student, coach, counselor, mentor, and so much more to the people who knew her. Amanda touched the lives of everyone she met. Amanda embodied life, laughter, and love. The means by which you knew Amanda may vary, but she taught us all how to live, laugh, and most of all love.
This event will raise money for the Amanda Strous FlyHigh22 Foundation, a project of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities. The purpose of the Fly High Foundation is to support Mental Health, Counseling and Art Therapy, support women who are victims of violence and support those pursing higher education in mental health. Timing |
Timing for this race will be provided by Timber Hill Timing.
Everyone will start together with a gun/whistle/siren/"GO".
The finish will be chip timed. Your time and place will be taken automatically from your timing chip.
Your finish time will be calculated from the starting gun and your chip finish time to give your gun time.
All awards will be determined by gun time meaning the first person across the finish line is the winner.
You are responsible for wearing your race bib and timing chip properly! All runners must wear a timing chip on their shoe in order to receive a time and to be eligible for awards. Click here for instructions on attaching your timing chip.
Runners must wear their bib number on their chest in order to be identified in case of a timing chip failure.
Failure to wear your timing chip on your shoe or your bib number on your chest may result in a disqualification at the discretion of the Race Director or Timber Hill Timing.
Please be patient!Timber Hill Timing strives to produce accurate and timely results but like any technology it is not perfect and 100% reliable. We employ several backup measures in case the timing system is not working as planned. Depending on the issue, there may be a delay in producing the results. Accurate results will always be a higher priority than quick results. Please be patient as we work to resolve any problems that may arise at a race.
Occasionally results will not be available before you leave the race, but they will be posted on the website as soon as results can be verified.

Your Hosts |
This event is hosted by and proceeds benefit the Amanda Strous Fly High 22 Foundation.
Amanda Strous embraced life, with her contagious laughter and her love of all people. She lived her life with a compassion for helping others, being a team player and striving to be her personal best in all endeavors.
Her competitive spirit and athleticism are an inspiration to young people as they pursue their own dreams. Field hockey was her passion, playing, coaching, striving to instill an "I can" attitude in all whom she mentored. Counseling was her profession; she listened and encouraged others to believe in themselves and to write their own story of success.
Our family's hope is to continue to spread Amanda's light and legacy through this foundation. May the recipient Live, Laugh, Love and leave their own legacy. Flyhigh 22
