Get everyone moving with a 1 Mile Fun Run/ Walk. Free for kids from 1 to 100Cumberland Valley TrailFestJoin the Cumberland Valley Rails-to-Trails Council for the 14th annual TrailFest. COVID has moved us to the fall again this year. All events will be held at the Shippensburg Station located at the corner of Fort and Earl Streets in Shippensburg.
You can choose from a 5k race, a 10k race, a 10 mile ramble, a 25 mile bike ride, or just get moving with a 1 Mile Fun Run/ Walk (Free for kids from 1 to 100). All events will be run on the Cumberland Valley Rail-Trail and will traverse almost 13 miles of completed rail-trail between the Shippensburg and Newville.
Your registration (except the free 1 mile) gets you a 1 free craft beer, craft soda or wine and a free event t-shirt.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Cumberland Valley Rail-to-Trails Council (CVRTC) and will be used for maintaining the current trail along with extending the trail into Shippensburg and Carlisle and supporting the Cumberland Valley Railroad museum.Beer Garden

Appalachian Brewing Company, Maxies Brew House, and Castlerigg Wine will be providing craft beer, craft soda and wine at the TrailFest. Individual glasses are available for $6. You will receive one free drink with any event registration.
The beer garden will be open from 11:30 am to 5 pm.

Course |
1 Mile out and back rail trail course.
The course travels out and back on the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail from the Shippensburg Station trailhead. The course is entirely paved.

This is a non-competitive event. No awards will be given.

T-Shirts availabe for purchase by October 3T-Shirts will be availabe for purchase by October 3. Cotton t-shirts will cost $10 and tech shirts will cost $15. After October 3 tech shirts will not be available to order. Extra cotton t-shirts will be available as first come first served until they are gone.

Race day registration and bib pickup will begin at 9:00 AM at the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail, 51 E Fort St, Shippensburg, PA. Refer to the PDF Parking Map or Google MapsBike ParkingWe are asking if you registered for the Bike Ride please park in the lot at Queen Street and Richard Avenue. From the entrance to the parking turn towards Shippensburg University - 200 yards - Left on the Rail-Trail to registration. Total distance approx. 1/2 mile.
From the north use I-81 exit 29, turn right onto Walnut Bottom Rd. Left onto King Street (US 11). Turn right onto North Queen Street at Sheetz. 1/3 mile to the parking lot on the right.
From the south use I-81 exit 24, turn left onto Olde Scotland Rd. Left onto Fayette Street. Right onto King Street (US 11). Turn left onto North Queen Street at Sheetz. 1/3 mile to the parking lot on the right.

CVRTC is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable corporation dedicated to conservation, historic preservation, recreation and alternative transportation in the Cumberland Valley of Pennsylvania through the development of multi-use trails along former railroad corridors and other areas. CVRTC owns and maintains the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail that runs 13 miles from Shippensburg to noth west of Newville and is working on extending the trail to Carlisle and south of Shippensburg.
