 Enjoy some pre-turkey exercise while helping the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail and Shippensburg Produce Outreach.Saturday and Wednesday Bib PickupAvoid standing in a long cold line Thursday morning and pick up your race number and shirt (if ordered) on Saturday afternoon from 12:00 to 2:00 or Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30. Pick up will be held at the Shippensburg Marriott, 503 Newburg Road, Shippensburg, PA, 17257. This will also be the last chance to pre-register and save $10 over the same day price. If you pick up your number on Wednesday you do not have to check in on Thursday morning. Just pin on you race number and put your timing chip on your shoe and proceed directly to the start line a few minutes before 9:00 AM. The race will start promptly at 9:00 so be on time.
1,000 for Heather!This will be our first event without co-founder Heather Swartz. Heather dreamed of having 1,000 participants at the Turkey Trot. Will you help spread the word to see if we can meet the goal in her honor?Virtual Race OptionCan't make it on Thanksgiving morning? Run the 5k distance anytime, anywhere from Saturday November 19th thru Sunday November 27th and report your time here. Track your standing on the virtual race leader board. 5 Kilometer out and back road course.
The course starts in the Shippensburg Memorial Park on road behind the football stadium. The course travels between the Middle School and the High School, around behind the High School and into the Volvo parking lot before returning to and finishing in the park.

This event is hosted by the Shippensburg Turkey Trot Committee with proceeds benefiting the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail & Shippensburg Produce Outreach.
Shippensburg Produce Outreach (SPO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization and has grown to serve over 1500 families per month with our drive-in distribution program in addition to site deliveries to nearly 80 other residents. Our mission is to continue to meet the needs of the Shippensburg community as the cost of fresh produce continues to rise. We have developed partnerships with local agencies such as the Central PA Food Bank, Aldi of Shippensburg, Walmart, Weis, Giant, SU Farm, the Gleaning Project of South-Central PA and area farmers so that we can accept donations of excess harvest, glean fields after harvest and purchase additional produce as needed.
